Mark Dayap-Aquino (AKA @bizmarkdee) doesn't give a shit about success.
Well, not the type of success most think of. Mark has his own definition of success
For Mark, the stress and lifestyle of a Director role within the Action Sports apparel and Streetwear industry was not in his mantra.
Instead, Mark wants to focus his time and energy on being the best designer he can be.
This is a rarity when it comes to Designers who are typically stuck in the rat race of trying to climb the "ladder."
What sets Mark apart from his peers is not only his natural sensibility when it comes for contemporary design, but more-so his grit and determination to honing his craft.
MARK'S COLLECTION:

CHAPTER 1: ME AGAINST THE WORLD
“You’re either born with the passion for art and design, or you’re not.” — Mark Dayap-Aquino
Mark has spent over 18 years sharpening his artistic blades to a razor’s edge.
As such, he's designed myriad logos, graphics, and patterns for some of the world’s biggest brand imprints.
But while Mark's resume looks highly impressive, it wasn't built without challenges, both mentally and physically.
CHAPTER 2: THE TRIPS WE GO ON.
We see so many Designers pour out hours, days, even months of sweat over an incredible piece of art, only to be moved to the Z_DROPPED folder.
For someone as talented as Mark, he unfortunately cannot escape the naive decisions made by big corporations.
When it comes to licensed assets , there's rarely any creative flexibility for a Designer, despite being asked to "create something amazing!
But licensing for a true artist can come with its fair share of frustrations. Mark knows this all too well...
"You try to think outside of the box, but when you do that, the corporate brands want you to stay in the box, and then they’ll pick the most basic designs or the ones that don’t mean anything to you.
You don’t really feel good after that…”
— Mark Dayap-Aquino

CHAPTER 3: WILD THING.
Time and time again, incredible artists and creatives are asked to come up with "the next best graphic", only to have their hard work and hours potentially tossed by the wayside.
"You put all this work and effort into evolving the asset into something dope, only to have big corp strip it through the review process back to essentially the original asset, with maybe some “distress” effect on it or in a different color.”
— Mark Dayap-Aquino
Despite the hardships of licensing work and dealing with big corp, Mark stays true to who he is, letting his integrity and self-worth take the reigns.
"There’s so many rules to licensing, but I had to stay true to my designs and produce what I wanted and felt was best for these major brands.”
— Mark Dayap-AquinoMark
Mark cut his teeth doing design work having come fresh off of high school, and has been a workhorse ever since, with his own artistic sensibility and trend-setting insight be his own North Star.
CHAPTER 4: BLESSED.
Mark has always gone by the beat of his own drum over the 18+ years of being in the graphic design field, he's still managed to land a formidable roster of clients, Like:
Disney and Marvel to Target, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Pacsun, Hybrid Design, NEFF, and Fashion Nova to name a few.
Not to mention the globally recognizable licenses he's graced with his talent like:
Sesame Street, Star Wars, The Muppets, Mickey Mouse, The Simpsons, Spongebob Square Pants, Minions, Deadpool, Snoop Dogg... the list goes on.
For Mark, design isn’t just about creating something cool—it’s about making an impact.
Mark doesn’t want his work to be buried in forgotten folders or watered down by corporate decision.
“I want my designs to have a chance—to share my vision as an artist. To take us somewhere wild and fresh.”
— Mark Dayap-Aquino
That’s the thrill of it all—seeing an idea go from sketch to reality, watching it ripple across culture, finding its place in the world.
Mark isn’t here to play by the rules. He’s here to create.

CONCLUSION:
Mark's designs aren’t meant to sit on a hard drive collecting dust—they’re meant to be worn, seen, and lived in.
That’s what real design is about.
If you can get behind an artist who simply loves what he does so much that he'd rather master it over years of dedication than lose himself to the corporate "game," then wear his work.
You'll be supporting Mark directly by purchasing from his collab collection.
